I have learned a number of important things via your post. I would also like to convey that there might be situation that you will get a loan and don't need a co-signer such as a Government Student Support Loan. In case you are getting a loan through a traditional financial institution then you need to be able to have a co-signer ready to assist you. The lenders will probably base their decision on the few components but the largest will be your credit history. There are some loan companies that will in addition look at your work history and determine based on this but in most cases it will depend on your rating.
